Congratulations to the Horace Mann Middle School Orchestra and director Ian Jessee on their 1st place win in the NOF Middle School Category, which included a Superior Rating! The Orchestra performed a beautiful program of varied works under the direction of ASTA member and Past President Ian Jessee at the 2011 NOF which was held in Kansas City, MO in conjunction with the ASTA National Conference. Congratulations!

2011 Awards Announcement
After revising the voting process to include member input on an electronic
platform, the following awards were issued at the 2011 Spring Meeting
at Marshall University on March 25, 2011:
Outstanding Classroom Teacher: Kimberly Graham, Boone County
Outstanding Studio Teacher: Mikylah Myers McTeer and Colleen Tan
Outstanding Supporter of Music: Chip and Jan Pickering
Congratulations to the South Charleston-Capital High combined orchestra and director Colleen Tan for receiving a Gold Rating and First Place String Orchestra at the Big Apple Classic in New York in April.
